"To love is to be willing to gather the people who love you and stand still while they witness you choosing each other. We are still. Please come."

— Karabo & Anele
A short history

Five Mays of us.

2022
A friend's wedding

We met at a wedding we weren't supposed to be at. Karabo's friend was getting married; Anele was the photographer's assistant. We danced once. I left without getting your number.

2023
A second chance

A whole year later, in a Stellenbosch wine bar, we ran into each other on a Tuesday. I asked for a coffee. You said yes immediately. We've barely been apart since.

2025
A small home

We moved in together in March. We argued about a couch for six weeks and then kept neither option. It's still the best decision we've ever made.

2026
A question, asked twice

Karabo proposed in November, with a ring and a speech. Anele forgot to say yes — I was crying — and asked Karabo back the next morning, with a ring of my own.

2027
And so, in May

We are getting married. Outside. Under olive trees. With you, if you'll have us.

The afternoon, in pieces

A day with plenty of time.

i.
The ceremony

3:00pm in the olive grove at La Petite Ferme. We've left time for arrivals — the road in is gravel and slower than you'd think.

ii.
A long supper

5:30pm at the long table on the lawn. Local everything. Wine pairings if you'd like them, soft drinks if not.

iii.
The dancing

8:00pm onwards in the barn. Live band until midnight. A DJ to take us through to 2am if anyone still has it in them.

iv.
A slow morning

Sunday brunch is on us at 10am for anyone staying nearby. Bring your slippers.

A few small asks

Will you join us?
